Rebecca is a Professionally Qualified Registered Counsellor with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) & NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). She is awaiting results of becoming an Accredited Member with the BACP and is currently in training to be a Counselling Supervisor.
Since qualifying in 2014 and opening in private practice in 2016, Rebecca has therapeutic intervention experience which includes, addiction support with the Kenward Trust in Yalding, she has spent time supporting terminally ill patients with Hospice in the Weald in Pembury and was part of a team of Counsellors delivering low-cost counselling support with Crossline Counselling service in Maidstone for 4 years.
Rebecca has recently returned to full time practice, following 2 years as a Wellbeing Adviser and Trauma Counsellor within the Police Force, where she regularly delivered training on Building Resilience, Mental Health Awareness and Post Trauma Support, as well as supporting Officers and Staff in Counselling.
For over 4 and a half years, Rebecca has volunteered for Kent Search and Rescue (KSAR) as a Licensed Search Tech and Team Leader, assisting Kent Police in searching for high risk missing people within our County. Rebecca is KSAR's Safeguard/Welfare Lead, a TRiM Practitioner, supporting team members and is their Social Media Manager.
Rebecca qualified as an EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing therapy) in April 2024 and has been a TRiM Practitioner (Trauma Risk Intervention Management) since March 2022. Since qualifying as a counsellor, Rebecca has years’ experience working in many areas of the therapy field, and she is excited to be returning to full-time private practice.
Having worked with a wide assortment of mental health and life issues over the years, helping people from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds, Rebecca is competent and confident in assisting you on your therapy journey. She also has extensive experience, and knowledge, in psychological relational abuse recovery (of all relationship types), and assisting in management and rebuilding lives that have been affected by PTSD and CPTSD.
Counselling is an experience you won’t find in everyday life, having heard many people sharing how surprisingly effective and enjoyable it has been. Counselling is a place where understanding, awareness and deeper self-knowledge develops through supported exploration. It can be a life changing experience.
