The practice is situated in a quiet, rural location away from busy every day life, and the counselling room is a totally confidential space for us to focus on your goals.
Therapy can feel quite daunting to begin with, but I hope to help settle any worries or concerns you have promptly, so we can begin work. Feedback from previous clients is that the practice has a "very calming atmosphere and vibe" and to date all clients have enjoyed their experience overall.
If you would like a free 30 min consultation, to discuss more about what you would like therapy for, we can arrange a call or meeting usually within a few days. Within consultation, I will tell you about how I work, and you can tell me what it is you would like counselling for. We can then decide if we are both confident in working together. There is no obligation to continue into counselling if you don't want to.
I work to 60 min appointment times, and advise therapy starts weekly to gain momentum into working towards your goals. Directions are available through google maps and I ask that you arrive as close to the time of your consultation/appointment as possible, to protect both yours and other client's confidentiality. The practice is covered by recorded CCTV for security purposes.
The length of time required to attend therapy will depend on the circumstances and historical content brought. Focusing on yourself between our sessions is an important part of the therapy process. Building on self-awareness and understanding is essential for therapy to be affective long-term.
If you have any further questions, please do send an email or ask in consultation.
Humanistic/Person Centred Counsellors work with the authentic and unique person you were born as. The part of you that often gets overwhelmed, overlooked and sometimes lost as life evolves with all the twists and turns our experience provides us with.
